  Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985)

Town run on shit.

Review: It's been a long time since I've watched Thunderdome. And I realized I've never seen the very beginning when Max is knocked off his camel wagon by Jedediah and his plane. Now I can finally say I've seen the entire movie from beginning to end.

Compared to the previous two films, the action is toned down (in order to earn a PG-13 rating), the bad guys aren't as menacing (too comical and goofy to be taken seriously), and the overall feel is less gritty (no doubt due in part to the too sweet scenes with the tribe of children). Still what action there is is good, the film moves quickly, and the cinematography of the Aussie outback is as amazing as ever. Not great, but it's an enjoyable & fun sequel that has held up through a number of viewings over the past two decades.
